Welcome to Change It Up Editing and Writing Services! I’m Candace Johnson, the entire team at Change It Up Editing and Writing Services. Yes, I believe in personal attention for my authors, and if you read the comments on the Testimonials page, I believe you’ll get a good sense of just how important that personal interaction is to me as well as to the success of every project I edit.

If you have a great idea but don’t know how to organize it into a book or article, or if you’ve written a draft and want to be sure it is well ordered and doesn’t drift off somewhere it shouldn’t, I can help you! If you and everyone you know has read your manuscript and you’re ready to send it out into the world, I can offer you an opportunity to take it to the next level toward success.

As a professional editor, I have an objective viewpoint and will be honest with you about the many ways you can improve your manuscript—yes, even when you think it’s perfect, you’ll be surprised at the things I will suggest that never occurred to you.

My background is in traditional publishing, so I know what readers want to read and what publishers want to publish.

There are many different types of editing help available to you, whether you are an indie author or have decided to pitch your idea to an agent or traditional publisher. These include developmental editing, substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading, manuscript evaluation, ghostwriting, and proposal development, and they all offer value to you as a writer at different stages of your work.         How about post on how to tackle the ‘big issues’ in editing? When you know something just isn’t right, but aren’t sure how to tackle it. Any common solutions that you know of for situations like this?
        If I keep giving you ideas for sharing your experience I might run out of post material myself! Lol!

I’m a big believer in professional editing and have commented many times about my disappointment that so many Indie Authors have not gotten their manuscripts edited properly before publishing. I’ll definitely be looking for beta readers and an editor once my novels are ready.

    Just made one, bulky manuscipt!! Manuscript, I type too fast, a reader wouldn’t be that forgiving if it was found on a novel!!!
